Dear all,

We're really happy to announce that the STV 3.0 full documentation has been finalized and released. The new documentation contains more than 70 classes and more than a 1,200 fully documented properties and methods. In addition, the documentation now contains many integrated code samples that makes it really easy to follow without referring to our sample applications.

The new documentation is available both online and as an integrated Xcode doc set feed. To install the new doc set, please follow these steps (Xcode 4.0 and later):
1- Launch xCode then choose xCode->Preferences from the main menu.
2- Navigate to the "Documentation" tab.
3- Click the Add doc set (+) button at the bottom left.
4- Enter "http://www.sensiblecocoa.com/documentation/STV30/com.sensiblecocoa.Sensible-TableView-3.0.atom" (without quotes) in the displayed text box, then click Add.
5- Now click the Get button next to the recently added "Sensible TableView 3.0 Documentation".
6- xCode will now subscribe to the documentation feed and the Get button will disappear. If you check the "Check for and install updates automatically" checkbox, then you should be receiving all new updates automatically, otherwise, just press the "Check and Install Now" button whenever we release a new STV version.
We're also releasing the full STV 3.0 book soon, which, together with the newly announced documentation, should provide the ultimate resource for Sensible TableView 3.0 development.

As always, we really appreciate all your feedback and comments regarding the new documentation. Thank you very much!

Tarek,

Took a quick look at the online documentation, and at least in my Firefox 13.0.1, http://www.sensiblec...tFieldCell.html (and some others I looked at) have the Overview in a box, without line breaks/wrapping so the text gets cut off.

Thanks for these docs.

Seth

Tarek, the docset link has a small error in the URL. It should be:

http://www.sensiblec...leView-3.0.atom

It has some extraneous characters at the end of the link...

David

ps. My goodness, it's easy to see how hard you've all worked on this..

Thank you guys for the feedback!

@seth: does widening your browser's window fix the wrapping issue?

@David: I believe our links are identical? I think it's just the forum doing it's URL shortening magic, so I apologize for that. Here is the full link:

http://www.sensiblecocoa.com/documentation/STV30/com.sensiblecocoa.Sensible-TableView-3.0.atom

Thanks again :)

The link in the post above is fine! Thanks. The first link had a %20 at the end... If it wasn't 100 degrees, I'd look up the ascii code..

Beautiful, thanks! I've just spent the last couple hours going through the docs trying to learn the framework a little bit more in depth.

Good job!

Any chance of including the stuff from the PDF in the form of guides within the documentation set?

pity xcode 5 doesnt allow a nice easy way to install these now

"Xcode 5 does not support downloading additional doc sets." so the help file says

for XCode 5

download the file from STV

http://www.sensiblec...iew-3.0-1.0.xar

open terminal and run

xar -xf /<whereisthefile>/com.sensiblecocoa.Sensible-TableView-3.0-1.0.xar

copy or move the resulting file "com.sensiblecocoa.Sensible-TableView-3.0.docset" (for me it was created in the root of my home directory)

and put it in

~/Library/Developer/Shared/Documentation/DocSets

or there is a free app on the app store that might do the trick too

P.S. I hate Swift.. don't talk Swift.. Too old school to learn yet another programming language.
