I really like the integration of Parse into STV. However, there are some features I need to implement. The main two are user registration and login, and offline caching. A third would be Core-Data syncing.

@Tarek, do you have plans to implement further Parse capabilities?

@all, Has anyone tried using some STV some Parse code to support these features?

There is an interesting - but non-STV project https://github.com/itsniper/FTASync'>here - this shows a Parse - Core Data syncing method. You could see where Tarek's touch would be fantastic ;)

Looks like the Core Data Syncing project for Parse is FTASync, available on github here: https://github.com/itsniper/FTASync

BTW, I currently am using Parse integration (currently just pulling down some meta-data) using the Parse iOS Library.

I am planning on implementing full bi-directional syncing asap to use as an iCloud alternative to sync between iDevices, and to also allow me to develop a web front end for my app as well.

Hi everyone!

We're expecting to complete all the missing parse.com features in STV 3.0.8. We're now really busy trying to release 3.0.7 alongside with the completed book by early August, and should have more time for parse.com after that. Having said that, I think you guys can add any features you want by subclassing SCParseComDefinition and/or SCParseComStore where applicable.

Tarek, fine for 3.0.8. However, I cannot find the reference to SCParseComStore..

@Chris, I am thinking something similar. To sync classes between iDevices using Parse.

@Tarek, for 3.0.8 planning: the issue with the current implementation of SCParseComDefinition, is there does not seem to be a way to attach object classes to the PFUser class definition.

The current implementation is suited to a multi-user app, like a game. I want a single user app where people's data is available only to them, across devices..

If there is a method/work around now, I'm not seeing it, but wouldn't that be a first

Hello just bought STV standard and still playing with it. I would be very interested in Parse and Core Data syncing. Great work!

Jim
