Gents,

I could be missing something simple. Read all the docs on installing STV 4.0 including the running the plugin command. Created a core data project using STV core data project from menu.

However the problem is this:

custom objects in Interface Builder's object library are missing.....I have the normal xcode objects but not the STV objects.

So, if someone would be so kind to tell me what I missed on set up I would appreciate it.

Thanks

TRG

Hi Todd,

I'm assuming you ran the InstallSTVXcodeIntegration.command and not just the InstallSTVTemplates.command. And that you've tried running the InstallSTVXcodeIntegration.command a second and maybe a third time, and then restarted Xcode again each time...

What do you have in the following folder:

~/Library/Developer/Xcode/Plug-ins/

That's where the SensibleTableView.ideplugin should be, which you could copy across manually, and then restart Xcode again.

HTH.

Dave,

Thanks for the quick response. The resolution was me not launching the plugin command under the plugins.

Hi Todd,

The InstallSTVXcodeIntegration.command  runs both the Plugins/InstallSTVPlugin.command and the Templates/InstallSTVTemplates.command so it seems a bit strange that you had Templates but not the IB Plugins.

Glad you got it working.

Cheers,

Dave

For anyone else who comes across the same problem, here are some additional causes of this:

  • You have correctly double-clicked InstallSTVXcodeIntegration.command to install STV, but you have Xcode running and haven't restarted it yet.
  • In some very rare cases, Xcode fails to correctly load its plugins (though I think this is now fixed in the latest Xcode release). Simply restart Xcode and it should work fine.
